The COVID-19 epidemic in Victoria has increased again, with another four new cases.

Victoria Health confirmed the infection this afternoon, bringing the total number of community coronavirus cases in the state to nine. All of this is related to the Whittlesea City outbreak and is different from the new case announced this morning.

The Victorian Health Statement said: “Genome sequencing has confirmed that the virus strain detected in the four cases announced yesterday is consistent with a case strain in Wollert earlier this month, who was infected during a hotel quarantine in South Australia. The virus,” the Victorian Health Statement said.

“Yesterday, extensive contact tracing of people who tested positive for COVID-19 in northern Melbourne continued. All are quarantined at home.”

Victoria’s Chief Health Officer Brett Sutton (Raf Eput) asked him on Melbourne’s RBC Epstein’s ABC radio station in Melbourne if he was concerned about the increase in new infections.

Professor Sutton said: “We know what to do. We will implement restrictions starting at 6 pm tonight because we know that doing so can reduce the risk of transmission.”

People must take the right actions against the new restrictions, but this will certainly not get out of control. ”

He added that Victorians “possibly have to live” and the number of infections will continue to climb.

He said: “We are testing all these major close contacts. As of this morning, 84 out of 168 have tested negative.”
