Due to the threat of another volcanic eruption and repeated earthquakes, residents were told to evacuate 10 residential areas in Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo on May 27. This shot by Elie Kasereka shows a long series of traffic as people leave the city. The evacuation came after the eruption of Mount Nyiragongo on May 22, which killed at least 32 people and prompted thousands of people to flee. The African Red Cross said it was helping their families reunite after 300 children were separated from their parents after the eruption. Image Credit: Elie Kasereka via Storyful
