Thousands of people in the UK’s “Freedom Day may feel less free”

CNN International Correspondent Scott McLean said that for the thousands of people in the UK who have been forced to quarantine, “Freedom Day may not feel very free,” and “most people” may not notice the “huge Difference”.

He told Sky News: “For the hundreds of thousands of people the government informed that they need to self-quarantine after contact with people who later tested positive for the virus, Freedom Day may not feel very free.”

“Boris Johnson will not feel very free either. After contacting the Minister of Health who tested positive for the virus over the weekend, he is currently in quarantine until next week.

He said, “Unless you are one of the party animals in the nightclub that opened at midnight last night,” most people “may not notice the real huge difference.”

“I took the London Underground to work today; most people still wear masks.

“I walked into the barber shop suddenly; the barber wore their mask.

“The coffee shop next door, but the employees are not there. They are not required to do so by law.

“So the government really leaves it to everyone, obviously it’s the employer to decide what is best for them.”
