New South Wales Police Commissioner Mick Fuller said that because of the delta variant, people felt “a huge pressure” and another “mass protest” could “endanger Christmas”.
Commissioner Fuller told Sky News Australia about the recent anti-blockade protests in Sydney and the police’s efforts to prevent the latest planned assembly.
“I know we all want to protect New South Wales,” Commissioner Fuller said.
“I think people need to understand that if you don’t take the sanitation order seriously, we will be in lockdown for a long time.”
“Thousands of people gathered at this moment are a disaster.”
“The large number of people gathered at this moment will only endanger the lives of all of us,” he said.
