The “scale and scale” of financial support required by New South Wales last year

ACOSS chief executive Casandra Goldie (Casandra Goldie) said that the government needs to provide financial support to the people of New South Wales at the “scale and scale” it provided last year.

The state disaster subsidy provided by New South Wales for businesses will be higher than the subsidy provided by Victorians during the most recent lockdown.

The Federal Government will pay 50-50 to the New South Wales Government.

“I certainly hope that the government has clearly heard this message, and people have become very desperate,” Ms. Goldie said.

“This epidemic has caused losses to many families; they have accumulated debts behind them.

“Of course, now in a larger lockdown zone, for example, we think we have about 400,000 people locked out of trying to find paid work. For example, on JobSeeker, there is a daily reduction of $44.

“Therefore, the government needs to achieve the scale and scale it did last year.

“This is the situation we are dealing with.”
