The number of immigrants trying to cross the U.S. border is the highest in 20 years

Last month, 178,000 men, women and children were arrested while crossing the southern border between the United States and Mexico; the highest number in more than two decades. Refugee advocates say that this crisis has been brewing since former U.S. President Donald Trump introduced a tough border policy, but during Joe Biden’s presidency, the crisis has significantly worsened. Annelies Nelson, Sky News Washington’s special commissioner, interviewed some people who tried to cross the border from Mexico into the United States.
