“The most vulnerable” Sydney workers will receive payment support

Corridor Newtown’s boss Andrew Purcell praised the government’s efforts to provide financial support to Sydney’s businesses and workers, saying that the “most vulnerable” will be taken care of.

Mr. Purcell said that he was very happy to “see the government reaching into his pocket” to “help the temporary workers.”

“The best thing that can happen is to ensure that those who may be the most vulnerable, they have some clear results and can support them,” he told Sky News.

He said that such support will provide workers with “breathing space” and the one-time payment will “help prolong some of the pain in the future.”

“We are grateful for what the government is doing. However, we hope these people can do this. This is their role.”
