The Morrison government “cannot protect citizens through early vaccine supply”

John McTernan, a former adviser to Tony Blair, said he could not understand why the Morrison administration “cannot complete the basic work of protecting citizens as quickly as possible by purchasing enough vaccines”.

“The most important thing Boris Johnson has done for the UK is to vaccinate correctly-invest early, buy early, so that the vaccine can be launched quickly,” Mr. McTenan told Sky News.

“As a person who loves Australia, from here, I cannot understand why the federal government cannot complete the basic things of protecting citizens as soon as possible by purchasing enough vaccines.

“The government should support us. This is one thing in the UK. Through the vaccination program, everyone knows that Boris Johnson supports us.”
