Officials said the tiger that roamed near Houston last week was handed over to police on May 15 and will be taken to an animal shelter. The tiger’s main perpetrator commander Ron Borza said at a press conference that a friend of the tiger’s owner contacted the police and handed the tiger to the Houston Police Department (HPD). Bolza said the 9-month-old tiger was called India and belonged to Victor Cuevas and his wife Gia. HPD provided this video, which shows Gia feeding the tiger with a bottle while Borza pets him. Bolza said that Gia was invited to take part in the pickup operation because the tiger was under pressure and excitement. “Never raise animals like this in the family, whether in shape or form,” Borza said. According to reports, India will be taken to the Cleveland-Amory Black Beauty Ranch in Murchison, Texas. Image source: Houston Police Department (Storyful)
