Sky News host James Morrow said the Sydney metropolitan area looked like the last scene of the Blues Brothers on Saturday, when police swarmed in to prevent another blockade protest.
“There are police everywhere, and every major road leading to the town has five, six, eight or ten police cars, and everyone who passes is being checked,” he said.
“Protesting during a pandemic is not a good idea, let us make it clear.
“It turns out that these protests completely failed because they were completely overcorrected, but I think the police here might have missed a bit.
“Through such an incredible display of all signs that it will be a very small protest, this week they actually raised the power of the protesters to a much greater extent than before.”
