Nick Cater of the Menzies Research Center said that in a survey, almost half of the young Australians surveyed would choose to lock down during a flu outbreak, so there is a lot of “fear that doesn’t seem to go away.”

Mr. Carter said the survey showed that although young people face far lower risks than older Australians, they are most afraid of COVID-19.
