Storm swept across the Manhattan Bridge in New York City

On June 8, a severe thunderstorm swept the New York City area. Time-lapse footage taken by Twitter user @cynthiayip shows that the storm is developing and rolling over the Manhattan Bridge. The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning to New York, Brooklyn and Queens in the late afternoon of June 8, warning of possible hail and wind speeds of up to 60 MPH.
