A man suffered serious leg injuries and was involved in a multi-car accident and was trapped in the car, which brought the M7 traffic to a standstill.

Paramedics of the four crew members and a paid ambulance rescue helicopter responded to the crash in Rooty Hill in the western suburbs of Sydney after 4.30pm on Thursday.
They found a man in his 30s trapped in one of the cars and tried to release him.
He received treatment at the scene for a serious injury to his leg, and was transferred to Westmead Hospital when his condition was stable, and was equipped with a professional medical team.
Another female patient was also evaluated and treated for minor injuries before being sent to Blacktown Hospital.
New South Wales ambulance inspector Joe Ibrahim said a high-speed crash could have “catastrophic” consequences.
He said: “A driver suffered a serious calf injury, but fortunately, no one was seriously injured.”
“Medical staff, police and firefighters worked together to release the trapped patient and treat him before he was sent to the hospital.
“This is a timely reminder that things on the road may change immediately, and we urge drivers to always be cautious.”
Due to a car accident near Woodstock Avenue, M7 was closed in both directions.
Eventually all the northbound lanes and one of the two southbound lanes were reopened, and the other southbound lane remained closed after the accident site was cleared.
The Transportation Management Center said that it is about 10 kilometers southbound and 18 kilometers northbound.
By about 6.30pm, all lanes were reopened.
