Prime Minister Scott Morrison stated that JobKeeper has not been reintroduced because it is “not the right way to solve the problems we are facing now” and the current fiscal plan is “more effective.”
Mr. Morrison said: “What we are doing now is faster, more effective and more targeted, getting help where it is needed, and much faster.”
He said that compared with the introduction of JobKeeper, the current epidemic has not broken out across the country, and this situation requires more “concentrated efforts.”
