Kevin Walters has resumed serving after the Brisbane Broncos coach was criticized for “blatantly lying” to fans.
After Brisbane forward Matt Lodge suddenly left the club this week, Broncos coach Kevin Walters denied the “mixed information”.
Thursday, Rocky gets permission to join the New Zealand Warriors Walters told reporters that three days later, the 26-year-old would not leave Red Mountain.

Walters inevitably came under fire for his violent backflipSeveral rugby league experts accused the Broncos mentor of “blatantly lying” to his fan base.
“I don’t think we can believe anything from that place right now,” Queensland’s great Brent Tate told Fox Union. NRL tonight.
“Every few days there will be different messages…it’s a mess.”
But in an interview with reporters on Saturday, Walters blamed this strange misunderstanding on “unfortunate” timing.
“I personally did not send out mixed messages,” he said.
“Matt Lodge has always been one of those players who have been following other clubs. It’s just a question of when Matt will find a chance to quit the club. The timing is unfortunate.
“But my job here is to coach the team, and now I am very fortunate to be able to coach the team in a way that I think I can provide the team with 100% ability.
“We have great staff here now, they are assisting the roster, and the management of the roster has been taken away from me, which is great. This allows me to coach the team now… which is what I am looking forward to.
“There may be other changes around the roster, but this is not personal. My job is to coach this team, and that’s what I want to do.”
Last week, the Mustang Legend Ben Ikin replaces Peter Nolan as the club’s new head of football, And will play an important role in rebuilding the Brisbane roster.

“Hope I can focus on what I do, I got paid by the Broncos rugby league coach,” Walters said.
“All other things around the team, such as the roster, who stays and who goes, can be handled by other staff who are not directly involved in the actual coaching of the team.
“Ben Ikin is here. He has only been in office for four or five days, and CEO Dave Donaghy has been here for more than a month. He is a tower of strength for me and relieves me. The pressure allows me to coach.
“Simon Scanlan is taking on a recruiting role, so these three people have taken on a lot of the burden that I used to sit on my shoulders. They have taken on the burden that allowed me to focus on coaching the team.”
The Broncos are currently ranked 15th on the NRL ladder and have so far achieved three victories in the 2021 season.
Brisbane will face the Cronulla Sharks at Suncorp Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The game is scheduled to kick-off at 2pm local time.
Walters said: “We have completed a week of motivation-I am very satisfied with the preparations we have made for the players since last Sunday.”
“In order for our game to be correct, we have been gradual throughout the week. We have put in a lot of work.
“Our defense must be much better. This is something we continue to work hard on.
“Last month we met some very elegant opponents, NRL is very difficult.
“We are a challenge for Cronulla’s team, they can score. For the players, this is a good opportunity.
“I look forward to seeing us perform well on the defensive end.”
