He is one of the most respected players in the game, but even Daly Cherry Evans is not immune from NRL game officials’ speeches.
In his 250th NRL game, Seahawks captain Daly Cherry Evans was replaced by referee Grant Atkins after repeatedly arguing about penalty kicks.
In the middle of the game between Manly and the Titans, Atkins summoned Cherie Evans among the 20 players around him, after the Origin star apparently questioned him too much.
The experienced referee was obviously fed up and decided to break the record.
“You gave (give up) three penalty kicks here, and I guess every penalty kick you want to dispute,” Atkins said.
Cherry-Evans was dumbfounded and asked, “Of course I will, why don’t I refute it?”
But the referee insisted on his position and said: “The fact (sic) is that I will not sit here and let you argue about it all day. You need to accept this decision and move on.”
However, the explosion was not there, and the two planned to quarrel in order to achieve a funny effect.
“Good buddy. You are the one who stopped the game,” Cherry-Evans said as he left the scene.
Atkins couldn’t help adding: “Well, man, you have been giving (punishment).”
“Atkins won this argument, he is the referee, he is in charge, Daly. Someone must be in charge, not the captain of one side,” Andrew Worth of the Fox League said in his game call.
“Yes, but if you are the captain, can’t you ask this question?” asked Balmain’s great Steve Roach.
“I think the communication is very interesting, but I am on the side of the referee. I think he handled it very well,” Voss said.
Roach then questioned whether Cherry Evans deliberately answered the referee in an attempt to slow down the pace of the game.
Except for some of the heroic deeds of Tom Trbojevic, this was two attempts for tourists. The first half was on the Gold Coast on Sunday.
The Titans’ defense was rioted at the Cbus Super Stadium. Gun son Jayden Campbell crossed the chalk for the first time in the first grade, and rookie Greg Marger won the double crown.
A four-pointer from the valuable rookie David Feifeta at the end of halftime put the Titans into the second quarter.
