Hospital officials said that after the last COVID-19 patient was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday, May 25, hospital staff in Anniston, Alabama celebrated a milestone. The Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center broadcast the video live on Facebook, showing that Dr. Raul Magadia announced the news and the staff cheered. The hospital said that Tuesday’s announcement marked the first time in more than a year that zero known COVID-19 patients were found in a COVID-19 ward.
