Sydney Premier League leader James MacDonald will face the New South Wales Motorsport Appeals Panel on Wednesday to participate in the Queensland Oaks Group 1 competition at Eagle Farm on Saturday.
MacDonald hopes to overturn the ban on careless riding because he has been booked to drive Grace And Harmony trained by Chris Waller in a $600,000 race.
Grace And Harmony is one of the six runners in Waller’s yard preparing to line up at Oaks Together with Duais and stability partner Charms Star, he was named the second voter with $6.
McDonald rode Grace And Harmony to sixth place in Group 2 The Roses and previously won the Listed Gold Coast Bracelet.
The Gun Basket is chasing Group 3 1 at the Brisbane Winter Carnival. His resume has already achieved major victories in the Queensland Derby and Kuklacha’s Doomben Cup last Saturday.
If he is to line up for Saturday’s special event, he will need to cancel the three-time careless riding ban on appeal.
Last Wednesday, he drove the Vigorous Flow trained by Peter and Paul Snowden to victory, and he received a timeout while driving the four winners of the project in Canterbury.
