Model Elyse Knowles and partner Josh Barker sold their investment property in South Melbourne at an undisclosed price higher than the asking price.
The couple became public figures after winning the 2017 The Block season and they snapped up an outdated two-bedroom terrace 13 Hill Street It was sold for $1.42 million in 2018.
But after neighbors rejected the couple’s plan to expand and renovate the property into their dream home, the house was listed for sale in May.

CoreLogic records show that the last time a Victorian terrace was sold for $1.42 million was in 2018.
The sale includes an approved modern refurbishment plan.
It is understood that the property was sold at an undisclosed price higher than the asking price of $1.6 million last Thursday.
David Wood, director of Belle Property Albert Park, said that a local family bought the house before the auction and plans to continue the couple’s renovation plan.
“They plan to carry out the renovation, but not immediately, they really like the renovation,” Mr. Wood said.
The planning permission submitted to the Port Phillip City Council has marked the partial demolition of the house and the addition of basements, roof terraces and gardens.

At the time of submission, local residents raised a total of 18 objections. One of them told the Herald Sun that the design was not suitable for “moderate working class” streets.
Earlier this year, Buck told the Herald Sun that the two-year delay and trouble going to Victorian civil and administrative courts prompted them to sell.
The couple welcomed their first child in February and now plan to stay in Byron Bay, where they have been living since 2019.
This outdated house is advertised as “ready to move in”.
The renovation plan includes the partial demolition of the house and the addition of a third bedroom and a basement cinema.
“We will stay there, it will be where we will live, and all the VCAT things have happened…it happens that we moved to Byron Bay and we won’t be back again,” he said.
Buck specifically pointed out that the Port Phillip City Council “delayed” approval of these plans, even after the arbitral tribunal gave them the green light.
He said that if new buyers continue the project, they will have “one of the best houses, if not the best on the street”, adding that it can also enjoy incredible city views.
“This will be the only house on the street with a roof terrace. Its views are worth a terrace,” Buck said.
The outdated Victorian era will become the couple’s “forever home”.
The plan is to see this outdoor courtyard ascend to the roof.
Mr. Wood said that the reality TV star duo was “very satisfied with the results.”
