Developer Porter Davis Homes works with many clients who want to incorporate Feng Shui practices into their new homes.
One of their designs included a Feng Shui-designed kitchen as part of the floor plan.
Interior designer Inaya Bongo from Porter Davis helped create an efficient and positive environment in the new home.
For Coco Republic interior designer Lauren Barakat, she agreed that in the past year, as everyone works and spends more time at home, people pay more and more attention to their environment and hope to live in a harmonious space. Support their busy lives.
“People pay more attention to mental health and well-being, and Feng Shui is an excellent way to integrate health into the home,” Ms. Barakat said.
“Feng Shui is about the relationship between yourself and your environment. Customers seeking Feng Shui is a way to create more harmony and positive energy in their lives through their home space. Using Feng Shui adjustment and design aesthetics, we can evaluate The areas in the home that feel unbalanced or dull, and reset the flow of Qi (the vital energy of China) throughout the home.”
The five elements of Feng Shui (earth, gold, wood, water, and fire) are expressed through colors, shapes and materials, and can be used to balance the home.
Ms. Barakat said that Feng Shui is mainly used in Chinese culture, but it is becoming more and more popular in Western culture because people pay more attention to the surrounding environment and are interested in exploring how to integrate balance and harmony into their lives.
“Developers or homeowners will ask us to provide services when designing houses for sale or display suites to ensure that the furnishings are arranged and selected to highlight the best quality of the space and attract buyers,” she said. “A property with good feng shui has a relaxed and balanced feeling. This atmosphere helps buyers to immediately connect with the space.
“In the planning stage, we may be asked to provide feedback on floor plan layout and finish choices before construction.”
