Police released the camera footage of an unruly flight attendant flying from Delta Air Lines to Oklahoma City on June 11 when taken away on vacation. The man was subdued by the passengers and “handcuffed”. This video released on June 17 shows that the man identified by local media as an Atlanta resident Stephon Jamar Duncan was taken from the plane. The plane was flying from Los Angeles to Atlanta when it was transferred to Will Rogers World Airport. In a statement reported in Oklahoma, Delta Air Lines stated that the passenger was an “inactive flight attendant” of the company and was on vacation at the time of the incident. The Oklahoma quoted a police report saying that during the process of subduing Duncan, he pushed an off-duty Delta Air Line crew against the wall and began to suffocate her. He also ignored the order to stop presenting turbulence in the aircraft’s PA system to passengers, and hid items including food, trash and tennis balls throughout the aircraft. According to reports, he was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault and assault on the crew. A passenger on the flight filmed Duncan being subdued by the passenger at the request of the crew.
