In the past 30 days, nearly $400 million has been spent on CryptoPunks.

August will be a record month for irreplaceable token sales, with nearly US$900 million spent in the past 30 days.

According to the trailing portal site Nonfungible, NFT has spent $896 million in the past 30 days. By the end of this month, this figure will undoubtedly exceed 900 million US dollars, which marks a new record for emerging trade.

This figure is more than three times the best month for NFT sales in May, of which $255 million was oversubscribed. Sales surged in August, and most of it was attributed to CryptoPunks and Axie eternity.

According to Cryptoslam, CryptoPunk sales this month reached a record 397 million U.S. dollars. The average sales of pixelated punk may be as high as $214,000. One of the most important people who have ever oversubscribed is the variety 7523, which is a rare alien punk with a mask that sold for $11.5 million at the Sotheby’s auction in June.

Earlier this week, the major credit card Visa announced that it had purchased its own CryptoPunk for 49.5 ETH, which was slightly less than $150,000 at the time of purchase. The head of cryptocurrency at Visa Cuy Sheffield said:

“Purchasing through our CryptoPunk, we were initially jumping. This may be just the beginning of our work in this place.”

Chinese trade media China Blockchain reported that Chinese investors are buying CryptoPunk known as scones. Cai Wensheng, the founder of the smartphone software company Meitu, used 125 ETH, about $387,000, to advertise on CryptoPunk 8236.

Meitu is one of China’s major publicly listed companies betting on cryptocurrencies. Earlier this year, it bought $100 million in Bitcoin and Ethereum.

NFT has also been promoting the adoption of the secured cryptocurrency Tezos. According to a journal article earlier this year, the Tezos NFT platform has proven to be attractive to artists, thanks to low transaction costs and the additional energy-saving equity certification protocol mechanism favored by environmental artists.
