Virtual recreation facilities in some key areas of Melbourne Park, such as Rod Laver Arena and Grand Slam Park, will reportedly remain open throughout the tournament. The inaugural event will feature specially curated content for virtual spectators looking forward to enjoying the competition. Authorities will provide users with exclusive content, including behind-the-scenes footage from more than 300 cameras in Melbourne Park. Content will include footage from the player arrival area and virtual visitor practice village. There will be live and AO broadcasts, as well as archival clips of tennis matches from the 70s. Users will have the opportunity to join a virtual meetup with famous tennis players including Mark Philippoussis.

The tennis gaming organization has partnered with NFT portal Sweet to launch six series of NFTs to celebrate the entity’s evolution over the past five years. The collection will be on display from January 17th to January 27th to coincide with the event. On January 12, AO showcased 6,776 “Art Ball” NFTs in the OpenSea NFT marketplace space. The collection was sold out in just three minutes on the market. The growing NFT market space is enjoying a successful industry shift, with investors and companies launching their digital collectibles on the open market for trading and huge gains.
