UFC star Israeli Adesanya was frantic after the death of a good friend and an MMA fighter in a “cowardly punch” incident in New Zealand.
The partner of hopeful New Zealand MMA fighter Fau Vake paid tribute to her “high school lover” a week after she was killed by serious injuries during the alleged attack in Auckland.
In an Instagram post by Christina Williams, partner of Fau Vake, he described him as a very loving, caring and dedicated person.
Her post said: “Ten years of memories are with you. The past and the present will always be the best time in my life.”
“You have taught me what unconditional love is, forgiveness, power, and most importantly, you have shown me the power of our Lord Jesus Christ.
“You are the heart of your family, so I love you deeply.
“You… moved a lot of people. You are that kind of person.”
She thanked Vake’s daughter, promised her the best life, and made him proud.

Vake was seriously injured in an argument two weeks ago. Four men were arrested and charged for this incident and appeared in Auckland District Court on Monday.
The police said they would file new charges in the case after Vake’s death.
A representative of the 25-year-old gymnasium of the 25-year-old Taekwondo Club in Oakland confirmed his death in a statement.
