The Australian cricketer was quarantined after testing positive for the coronavirus the day after he started feeling unwell.
Shane Warne is in self-isolation after testing positive for the coronavirus in the UK.
Vaughan, the head coach of the men’s London Spirit Cricket team, began to feel unwell on Sunday morning and returned a few hours later with a positive lateral mobility test.
He is now waiting for the results of the PCR test-a more sensitive test used to detect the level of coronavirus in his body.
Due to illness a few hours before the team was preparing to play at the Lord’s Cricket Ground, Vaughan missed the London Spirit game and the team continued to lose to the Southern Warriors.
The club said in a statement: “The head coach of the Men’s London Men’s Team, Shane Warne, will be absent from the game against the Southern Warriors at Rod Stadium (Sunday).”
“After feeling unwell in the morning (Sunday), Shane returned to the positive lateral flow test and will be isolated from the team and support staff while waiting for the PCR results.
“The second member of the team’s management also self-quarantined after testing positive. No players were affected.”
The team went to Instagram to wish Warne all the best.

Vaughan recently returned to England to coach the London team and praised the UK for “learning to coexist with the coronavirus.”
“I have been here for a few weeks and this country has just opened up. They have 50,000 strange cases every day, but they are learning to endure it,” Vaughan said Sky news australia last week.
“It’s really interesting to see how they do it… It’s a very interesting time to see how it all works.
“I think it’s just a matter of accepting it, letting you double the vax and continue to learn and learn to live with it.
“No one here wants to be blocked anymore… It’s too hard, I think they have said enough.”
David Ripley, one of Northamptonshire’s head coach and spiritual assistant, served as head coach in Vaughan’s absence.
Vaughan is the second coach to test positive in the UK’s first 100-player cricket match.
Trent Rockets coach Andy Flower also tested positive last weekend and has missed three games.
Before the team rests for a week, Warne will miss Spirit’s next game on Wednesday.
