According to Joe Garofoli, a senior political writer for the San Francisco Chronicle, the Biden administration’s initiatives to promote citizens’ vaccinations are viewed by conservatives as an “infringement” of their freedom.
President Joe Biden announced on Thursday that all federal employees and contractors must accept the COVID-19 injection or facial plus test protocol.
“It is related to politics in many ways,” he told Sky News Australia.
“This is seen as a violation of their freedom by many conservatives.
“There have always been people in the United States who are opposed to vaccines. They account for a small part of the population, but this plays an outsider role here, just as everything in American life is now politicized in some way.”
