South Australians will know if they will lift the blockade. The Prime Minister hinted that there would be “good news.”
The South Australian authorities are expected to announce that the statewide blockade will be lifted on time.
Governor Steven Marshall (Steven Marshall) said that due to concerns about the Deltra virus spreading in the community, the state is still “hopeful” to relax restrictions after being locked into a seven-day lockdown last Tuesday.
Speaking on the morning radio on Monday, he hinted that South Australia can expect “good news” and said that the Covid-19 cases related to the overnight outbreak had not “severely escalated.”
The governor said that he hopes that the children will return to school and the construction and hotel industries will restart because many people have endured “huge pain” in the past week.
He did not elaborate on how the state will relax the blockade restrictions, but said that this will be a gradual process.
The transmission committee of the state also held a meeting to determine the way to lift the blockade.
“We hope to return to normal as much as possible without taking unnecessary risks,” Mr. Marshall told ABC Radio.
“We will not return to the original state, which is the lowest level of restriction for the entire country.
“In fact, considering what is happening in New South Wales, I think it has been a while now.”
When speaking to reporters over the weekend, Marshall referred to Monday as the state’s “D-Day” in response to the harsh stay-at-home order.
Mr. Marshall will speak to the media with Chief Public Health Officer Nicola Spurrier and Police Chief Grant Stevens at 11 am.
Last night, the South Australian Department of Health announced that the public toilets in the Park Shopping Center along Yorktown Road in Elizabeth Park were a new three-level exposure site.
Anyone who was there between 9:30 am and 11 am on Tuesday, July 20, must be tested and quarantined immediately on days 1, 5, and 13 until they receive the first negative result.
