The Broward Sheriff’s Office stated that parts of the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida were evacuated during the investigation of the bomb threat on Saturday, July 10. Fort Lauderdale Airport said on Twitter that the lower and upper roads of the airport have been closed due to “an ongoing security investigation.” The airport stated that “as a precautionary measure”, parts of Terminals 2 and 3 have been evacuated. Jacob Jennings broadcasted the video live on Facebook shortly before 10:15 a.m. and said that traffic near Terminal 2 was stagnant. The police received notification of the threat at around 8:49 am, and the Sheriff’s Office stated that its bomb disposal team has been investigating. Storyful has contacted Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport for more information, but did not receive a response at the time of writing.
