Three-time World Superbike Championship champion Troy Bayliss (Troy Bayliss) has brought his home on the Gold Coast to the market.
For motorsport enthusiasts, acquiring this property at 9 Kerry Court in Sorrento auctioned next month can be considered the ultimate coup.
The seaside mansion is 20m away from the main river.
Wayne Evans of Ray White Broadbeach, which sold the property, said he expects the marketing campaign to have a big response, which will extend to Melbourne’s racing brotherhood.
“This is the most popular place in Sorrento, especially Kerry Street. I think Baylisses has the best location, only 20m from the main river,” he said. “This is the ultimate trophy for racing fans.”

This property has been a cherished home for racing legends and their families since 2009, when they moved to the Gold Coast after living in southern France for a long time during the heyday of Troy racing.
His wife Jin bought the property online for $1.9 million.
“We were originally from the North Central Coast, but we thought it might be a bit too quiet to move back there, so we chose the Gold Coast lifestyle and good schools. All this is to find a suitable landing point for the family,” Troy said.

Before moving to Baylisses, he undertook a major renovation of a spacious five-bedroom beach house in a spacious 915 square meter block now located in a secluded pocket in Sorrento.
“We upgraded all the fronts and garages, and overhauled upstairs. A lot of the interior and back swimming pool and boat areas have been redone,” Troy said. “This is a considerable overhaul.

“At first we thought this house was a good starting point, but it quickly became our home, which is why we have done so much work for it.”
This house has everything a modern family needs to pursue a relaxed Gold Coast lifestyle, including a large entertaining terrace with swimming pool and spa.
Troy ranks third in the world after winning 52 world superbike races. No wonder it takes a complete room to hold his numerous trophies and equipment, as well as his three precious superbikes (not part of the sale).

The men’s souvenir cave, customized to commemorate his career, is equipped with a bar (though Troy says he is no longer drinking), polished concrete floors and nearly 4-meter-high ceilings.
However, this is not his favorite place at home. Troy said he prefers the retreat of his parents.
“It is far from the rest of the house, it is a very nice, quiet place to escape and relax,” he said.
After being involved in a serious bicycle accident in May, Troy has recently been forced to do more of this.
Since he retired from motorsports, he has been passionate about mountain and road biking, and collided with another cyclist, causing him to fracture and damage his spine.

“This is the worst accident I have encountered in my life. Ironically, it happened when I was driving at 30 km/h,” he said.
Although he is still a long way from a full recovery, he said he is recovering and looking forward to continuing his life.
“Our two eldest children have now left and are in their own hands, and the youngest Oli is about to finish school and move on, so now is the time for us to make a change,” Troy said.
The Baylisses are now moving because their three children have grown up.
“Our idea of moving a little further south and buying a farm, then, a leisure farm, may be more accurate,” Troy said, “but it will leave sadly. We really like the time here. You are away from everything. It’s near and very quiet.”
The property will be auctioned at 4 pm on August 5.
