A man who was shot in the face is still in critical condition, and the person suspected of shooting has been found and arrested.

A man allegedly shot another person in the face in the northern suburbs of Adelaide and is expected to be charged with attempted murder and gun possession.

The suspect is 31 years old and has no fixed address. At about 1:45 am on Monday, his silver Mitsubishi sedan was arrested after it hit the bollard on Fradd Rd in Angle Vale.

The police recognized that the vehicle abandoned by the driver was involved in the shooting and set up a cordon in the area.

The driver was located not far from the collision. After the police searched him, he was found to be carrying a gun.

On Saturday night, a 27-year-old man was shot in the face on Burwood Rd, Munno Para West, resulting in the arrest of the suspect.

The victim was taken to Lyell McEwin Hospital with gunshot wounds and then to the Royal Adelaide Hospital, where he remains.

It is believed that the two knew each other.

After the suspect is charged-expected later on Monday-he will be summoned to appear in court.

Anyone with information about the shooting can call the Fight Crime Hotline on 1800 333 000 or go to online.
