After Queensland recorded three new local Covid cases, two new Virgin Australia flights have been added to Queensland’s growing list of virus alerts.

Queensland has added two new Virgin Australia flights to its growing list of Covid-exposed sites.

Passengers on flight VA924 from Brisbane to Sydney on Saturday, June 26 at 8 am and flight VA957 from Sydney to Brisbane at 3:56 pm on the same day are now considered temporary contacts of the confirmed case.

The news came after Queensland recorded three new local infections on the first day of a three-day lockdown.

After a 19-year-old woman who worked at the Prince Charles Hospital and was not vaccinated was added to the list of cases, Governor Annastacia Palaszczuk put parts of the state under lockdown.

The woman had been infected in the Sandgate community for 10 days and had also been to Townsville and Magnetic Island.

Health authorities have urged Queenslanders who have visited any place on the close contact list to be tested and quarantined immediately.

Many venues have been added to the women’s resort.

On Monday evening, multiple flights and a public toilet in Ban Ban Springs north of the Sunshine Coast were warned.

People who traveled on certain Virgin flights between New South Wales, Queensland and Melbourne last week were considered close contacts and were told to quarantine and be tested immediately.
