On Friday, June 18, Orange Beach, Alabama, prepared for the arrival of a potential tropical cyclone and urged swimmers to stay away from the waters of the bay. A video taken on Friday morning showed Roma Beach, where officials hoisted two red flags, indicating that people should not swim because their lives are in danger. According to the National Weather Service (NWS), Orange Beach’s tropical storm warning, coastal flood warning, high wave warning, offshore current statement and flash flood warning are in effect. The National Weather Service said that the storm is expected to make landfall on the Louisiana coast during the night from Friday to Saturday, and then travel inland across Mississippi and Alabama on Saturday. It is expected to become the smallest tropical storm. Photo Credit: City of Orange Beach via Storyful
