A man will spend four months in prison after slapped French President Emmanuel Macron. Damien Tarel attacked Macron during a visit to southeastern France on Tuesday, claiming it was because of all the mistakes made by the president to support the country. Mr. Tarrell said that the attack was an impulsive act, but the prosecutor ruled that it was deliberately violent and was sentenced to 18 months’ imprisonment with 14 months suspended.
