The New South Wales Department of Health made more than 14,000 jabs on the arm in one day, breaking the previous record.
New South Wales broke another record of daily coronavirus vaccination, with more than 14,000 vaccinations in 24 hours.
The latest record at 8pm on Friday night marks the third daily record in many days.
The mass vaccination center set up in Sydney Olympic Park opened on May 10 and has averaged about 5,200 vaccinations per day for the past five days.
The New South Wales Department of Health set a record of daily vaccination in four-fifths of the day, increasing the number of daily vaccinations from 12,524 on May 25 (the highest daily number at the time) to 14,190 on Friday .
A total of 1,250,445 coronavirus vaccines have been vaccinated in New South Wales. Most of them (838,611) are taken care of by federal general practitioners, while the rest are taken care of by the New South Wales Department of Health.
Earlier this week, New South Wales Governor Gladys Berejiklian said at a press conference held with religious and community leaders at the Olympic Park Vaccination Center: “As soon as possible and as safe as possible Vaccinating our citizens is crucial.”
The leader’s goal is to increase the number of vaccinated populations in the multicultural community of New South Wales.
Ms. Berejiklian said: “Thank you to community leaders across New South Wales for their leadership during the pandemic and continue to provide trusted information to their communities.”
NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard said at the same event: “This pandemic is extremely challenging for everyone, including those of faith. Many normal practices have been subverted. But vaccination is our way to return to normal.”
There were no new local coronavirus infections in New South Wales on Friday.
