Google Nest Hub (second generation) review: sweet dreams

[ad_1]

in the past For a year, I rely heavily on Google’s Nest Hub Max In the kitchen. This 10-inch smart display helped me remember important ingredients while cooking, and used music to entertain me while I was waiting for the water to boil. I enjoyed using it so much that when Google launched a new version of its 7-inch Nest Hub, I was happy to see if bringing it into my bedroom would also improve my sleep.

Sleep sensing is a hot new feature in the Google applet Smart display. As the name suggests, it can monitor your sleep-without a camera-and provide suggestions for improving sleep quality.I like to pull mine Weighted blanket Relax on me and relax at night, but sleep is not always easy. I tossed and turned, my allergies prevented my nose from breathing normally, and I recalled the embarrassing memories of the past few years in my mind.

After using the second-generation Nest Hub on my bedside table for more than a month, I can’t say I sleep better, but it have Inspired me some sleep habits I don’t know.

The new Nest Hub can complete all the functions of its predecessor. This includes playing movies and music, taking you through recipes, Cycle through your photos, Control smart home devices and answer all your Google search queries. There are not many new things in this department, except for Google’s usual assistant-related updates Launch one year later.

Visually, you will hardly notice the difference. It comes in several new colors, such as “fog”, a light blue, and Google said it is made of 54% recycled plastic. If you have tried other Google Smart Displays, you will know exactly what you got here.

The first Nest Hub, originally called Google Home Center, No camera, no new one; I like it. I never use the video chat feature on the Nest Hub Max, but it can be useful if you already use Duo, Google’s default video chat app, on your Android phone. But considering that this Nest Hub is designed for the bedroom, which is one of the most private places in the home, I am glad that the camera did not show up.

There are now three far-field microphones instead of two, and I have no problems receiving my commands. The speakers have also been slightly improved, and the things on the bedside table are already very good! But this will not be my first choice as a DJ for parties.

The 7-inch screen itself is no different, unfortunately, the performance has not improved much compared to the first-generation model. After I tap the screen, it always takes a second or two to trigger the operation. This is also a problem with the larger Nest Hub Max. They are just a little slow. Nevertheless, it is still as compact as before. It should be easy to put on most bedside tables and have enough space for other items such as mobile phones and a glass of water.
