Kitchen and Home Deals

GE Café Affetto Automatic Espresso Machine

The Café Affetto is our favorite super-automatic machine. It’s easy to use—just fill it with water and whole beans and you’re all set. You can choose between brewing one or two shots by just pressing a button or using the programmable button to create your preferred drink instead. It’s slim, so it won’t take up much countertop space.

It dipped to an even lower price not too long ago, but this is still a solid deal on a reliable espresso machine. It holds the title of the Best All-in-One in our Best Espresso Machines guide. Not only will it make you an espresso, but it can grind the beans and steam milk too. WIRED reviews editor Julian Chokkattu has owned his model for more than four years, and it still works perfectly.

The K-Cafe (8/10, WIRED Recommends) doesn’t make traditional espresso shots, but it does make an “espresso-style” 2-ounce shot that tastes similarly strong. The best part is the frother, which comes with three settings: latte, cold, and cappuccino. It’s both simple to use and easy to clean up. You can use it with a pod or use your own ground coffee.

Casper Weighted Blanket

If you missed the sale on Casper’s Weighted Blanket last month, you’re in luck. It’s back! Made of cool cotton, this blanket is a great option if you easily get hot when bundled up. You can also choose between different weight options (10, 15, or 20 pounds). WIRED reviewer Medea Giordano describes the lighter blanket as a “comfortably squished feeling” and the heavier one as “a Thundershirt for humans.”

It’s tough to tell that this is a budget version of Gravity’s weighted blankets. The 15-pound blanket is made from lovely, cool cotton that feels anything but cheap. Since the company is having a Halloween sale—25 percent off site-wide—we also recommend checking out deals on other Gravity products we love, including the Gravity Fleece Weighted Robe for $98 ($32 off), Gravity Weighted Blanket for $188 ($62 off), and Gravity Travel Blanket for $75 ($100 off).

Layla’s weighted blanket comes in a king-size version in addition to other sizes, and it’s the best option for anyone who wants to share it with a partner. It does go on sale often, but this is still a great deal.

Tech Deals

Hisense PX1-Pro

The Hisense PX1-Pro (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is a short-throw projector, which means you can place it right on a TV stand and it’ll project an image upward to a screen up to 130 inches in size. With an Android TV interface, it’s super easy to set up, and with a Dolby Atmos soundbar built-in, you won’t have to spend extra on more equipment.

The CineBeam (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is the smartest projector in our Best Projectors guide. This 4K laser projector packs Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and LG’s WebOS TV operating system, giving you access to a range of apps and capabilities, including Netflix and Apple AirPlay. It’s a bit of a pain to mount, but once it’s up , the lens is easy to adjust and line up with your screen.

Projectors are expensive. If you’re looking for one under $1,000, look no further than the BenQ HT2150ST. It comes with excellent color accuracy, along with bright and sharp image quality. It’s a great option for those who love outdoor movie nights.

TiVo Stream 4K

If Amazon’s, Google’s, or Apple’s streaming gadgets don’t interest you, we also like TiVo’s Stream 4K. It uses Android TV, which categorizes recommendations based on streaming services, with the ability to search for content across all of them. You can also integrate your Sling or YouTube TV accounts if you have them.

This deal kicked off last week, and we’ll share it for as long as it runs—at this price, this is easily the best android phone around, period. The Pixel 6A (8/10, WIRED Recommends) has powerful performance, excellent cameras, a nice screen, and good battery life. What more could you want?

We like Apollo scooters, and the City (7/10, WIRED Recommends) has enough power and range to satisfy. It’s heavy, though, at 57 pounds—it’s best if you have an elevator or garage. The company has kicked off its Black Friday Sale early, and it includes bundles where you can get some accessories for free.

Bowers & Wilkins PX7 Carbon

The PX7 Carbon cans (8/10, WIRED Recommends) pack musical clarity and great noise reduction, and they feel lightweight. They’re a good choice if you’re looking for headphones with great performance and a sleek look.

These are our favorite rugged headphones. They come with a durable design, water-resistant coating, and replaceable ear pads ($20). You’ll also get up to 36 hours of battery life with active noise canceling turned on, so you won’t have to worry about charging them often. They’re not the best at blocking out ambient noise, but you’ll only notice in louder environments.

Been eyeing a OnePlus phone? We like Google’s Pixel and Samsung phones more, but this OnePlus (7/10, WIRED Recommends) is a nice alternative and offers some of the fastest charging speeds around. You get all the top features here, from a 120-Hz screen to speedy performance, and the camera system is solid.
