How do I plan meals and school lunches! ⋆ 100 days of real food

[ad_1]

We are about to celebrate the first anniversary of the publication of my spiral bound meal plan (December 29)! This means I have been using This workbook Keep all our meals organized for 12 months… Now is the time to start a new meal! After a while, I realized that I had just completed the “Week 52” template, and now I have a complete log in my hand that records all our dinners and groceries for the past year. It gave me an unexpected (and wonderful) sense of accomplishment! 🙂

I really like using the meal planner, and I think this is a great gift for anyone in your life who wants to be organized and/or eat better in the new year…including you!

There are actually many unexpected benefits of using my Meal planner, But first… let’s review the 6 steps that make up my tried-and-tested meal planning system (it took me several years to perfect it)!

My life-saving meal plan process

  1. Write them when you are done using them (exist Jot down shopping list).
  2. Record your dinner ideas (under Dinner recipe ideas).
  3. Plan your meals for the week (inside Dinner plan sketch Area) and Write it out for everyone to see (In lamination Dinner menu template).
  4. Ask the children what school lunch they want (By letting them fill in the laminated School lunch packing diagram) and Write down a few items to make (inside Recipe to be made part).
  5. Figure out what groceries you need (In classification Supermarket template).
  6. Go to shop Or place an order online And get ready for the upcoming week!
Meal plan sheets, dinner menus and school lunch packaging diagrams on the counter, as well as a list of instructions on how to use each.

As you can see, I really designed every part of my meal plan workbook to guide you through the process step by step!Oh, I must have been using the included 20 single-course recipes The same was true for the entire last year (the most recent Simple broccoli and sausage pasta, Just the night before! ). See the complete list below!

Unexpected benefits of using the meal plan manual

All the templates in the planner have perforations, so you can tear them off, but after getting my early copy last fall, I decided to try to keep all my pages in the book for home and shopping use. Just last week, someone stopped me in the store and asked me where I got the book, so that I could stay organized. When I explained that I was actually the author, I had to blush! 🙂

The meal planner sits in the grocery cart in the store.

Why I like to leave the completed template in the workbook

  • When I finish writing my shopping list, I can calm down the annoying feeling, “What did I forget?” Looking back at the things I bought last week or the previous week!
  • When I was in the store, they had nothing (seems to be more and more these days!) I can go to the template for next week and add the item to the list next time I visit this store.
  • When I feel exhausted and have no more thoughts about “What’s for dinner?” I can go back to what we ate a few weeks or months ago to find inspiration. We forgot that the delicious meals (and side dishes) were amazing!
  • Similar to the “this day” memory function in Facebook, sometimes when I look back on the past, I will encounter a holiday week, a particularly busy week, or when there are guests in the city… This is a forgotten day A good reminder of how we have always managed to keep up with the meals that are good for you!
  • The meal planner itself is very suitable for shopping carts, and the spiral shape is the best place to hold the pen, so you can mark things on the cover of the hardcover while walking.
  • I didn’t anticipate the sense of accomplishment that I would feel after completing the first-year meal plan template.I show it in my kitchen My favorite recipe (And the new meal planner in 2022) is like a badge of honor!

One-course dinner recipes from the meal planner’s workbook

As I mentioned, in addition to the weekly template, I have been using 20 one-course dinner recipes Many are included in the meal planner. We spent an unusually busy autumn with plenty of evening sports and other activities, so simple cooking and cleaning are an important theme here.
