What does cacciatore mean?
“Cacciatore” means hunter Italian, and Araccha Torra Translated into a “hunter-style” meal. This is a hearty tomato stew with chicken (sometimes rabbit), onions, garlic, bell peppers and mushrooms.
How to cook Cacciatore chicken
This simple chicken recipe can be broken down into several steps. It does take some time to cook, but most of the time is when the sauce is simmering.
- Chick: Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper, then fry in a pan for a few minutes.
- vegetable: Add bell pepper, onion and garlic, and fry until the onion becomes soft. Then add the mushrooms and cook for a few minutes. Season the vegetables with salt and pepper.
- Sauce: Pour crushed tomatoes, broth and oregano, cover the pot, and simmer the sauce. Simmer for 25 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through.
- Herbal medicine: Sprinkle fresh basil five minutes before the sauce is finished.

- Olive oil spray
- 1 Red bell pepper, Chopped
- 1 Cup Chopped mushrooms
- 1/2 onion, Chopped
- 2 Garlic cloves, Chopped
- 1 (28 ounces) crushable tomatoes

Season the chicken with salt and pepper.

In a large and heavy wok, heat the wok over medium-high heat and spray cooking oil.

Add the chicken pieces to the pan and fry until brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
