Air Fryer Meatballs It is the new star of “Night of Meatballs”. Made with lean turkey or chicken, Parmesan cheese and Italian spices, they have a strong, slightly crispy crust and a juicy inside. The best meatballs in the world!

The meatball night started when we first moved to the city center, and we found ourselves only steps away from a truly outstanding Italian market.
Every Friday night, the routine becomes going there to buy wine, homemade pasta, red sauce and cooked food.
Then we would sip and snack while I made a new meatball recipe to match our loot.
We change it from time to time and pair it with homemade pizza (usually this simple Whole Wheat Pizza Dough), but for a simple dinner that still feels special at home, Italian is hard to beat.

Also, I’m not sure when you cooked the meatballs last time, but they are delicious and rewarding.
Meatballs are a food that comforts my soul!
Most of the time, I let Roasted Turkey Meatballs or Grilled Chicken Meatballs.
I began to wonder how they would be fair in our air fryer (This is an air fryer model I bought it).
One sentence: Excellent (Or should I say, very good)!

Although their appearance is thinner, but I promise You, they are juicy, but by no means boring.
They are date night, spaghetti night, meatball night in every way worth it!
These ingredients
- Ground turkey. Lean and protein-rich turkey powder is the delicious foundation of air fryer meatballs. It is lighter, but still has a wonderful taste.
- Parmesan cheeseThe saltiness of cheese makes these meatballs taste exceptionally delicious.
- Bread crumbs. Helps keep the meatballs moisturized. I use Italian seasoned breadcrumbs because I like the extra flavor they add.
- Italian seasoning. A simple way to add a series of herbs and spices to give recipes an Italian flavor.
- spices. Onion powder and garlic powder help to incorporate onion and garlic flavors without destroying the texture of the meatballs.
- Red pepper flakesAlthough this is an optional addition, I think a little spice will make the meatballs more delicious.
- Egg. The most important adhesive.

Frequently asked questions
I haven’t tried it myself, but I do think you can try cooking mine Whole 30 meatballs (Without bread crumbs) in an air fryer.
Although you can put foil in the air fryer, I don’t think this recipe is necessary. The basket is easy to clean and the meatballs will not make a mess.
Yes, you can cook frozen meatballs in an air fryer. Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Place the frozen meatballs in a single layer into the air fryer basket coated with non-stick spray. Also spray the top of the meatballs. Cook for 9 to 11 minutes, until cooked through. Repeat with any remaining meatballs.
Fried meatballs give you a nice, crispy appearance, but they are very hand-made, can be troublesome to clean, and are very greasy. Roast meat balls are cleaner and thinner. The air fryer gives you the best of both worlds! They are crispy on the inside (like fried meatballs), but use very little fat or oil (like grilled meatballs).
- 1/3 Cup Grated parmesan cheese Plus additional services
- 1/3 Cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs If possible, whole wheat
- 1 Spoon Dried parsley slices Or 3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon Red pepper flakes Elective
- 1 lb 93% lean turkey, chicken or lean beef Keep it in the refrigerator until the last second so it stays very cold
- 1 Large egg
Line the baking sheet with parchment paper and keep it handy. To keep the meatballs warm between batches, preheat the oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit and line the second baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, add parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, parsley, salt, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper and red pepper flakes. Stir well.
Add turkey powder. In a small bowl, beat the egg, then add it to the bowl (you can also beat it into an empty space in a large bowl and beat it lightly). Stir gently with a fork or fingers until the ingredients are well mixed, being careful not to compact the meat.
Divide the meat into 1 1/2-inch meatballs (about 20 in total) and arrange them on the first baking sheet.
Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Coat the basket generously with non-stick spray. Put a layer of meatballs in the basket, making sure they don’t touch so that air can circulate (you need to cook them in batches). Spray the top with non-stick spray.
Fry the meatballs in the air at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 7 to 9 minutes, slide them out of the basket, and gently turn the meatballs in half with tongs. When the meatball reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit on the instant-reading thermometer, the meatball is complete. When the meatballs are cut in half, the meat should look fully cooked.
Place the first batch of cooked meatballs on a second clean baking pan and transfer to the oven to keep warm. Repeat with the remaining meatballs.
While the meatballs are frying in the air, heat the sauce on the stove and prepare any other items you want to eat with them. Enjoy the hot meatballs and drizzle with sauce, cheese, herbs and any other additives.
