The International Chess Federation will launch the sport’s global NFT market on the Everscale Network (Ex-FreeTON) – Sponsored Bitcoin News

International Chess FederationThe International Chess Federation has become the first global sports federation to launch its own NFT market. It announced a partnership with core developers Everscale Network (ex-FreeTON), TON Lab, roll out ChessNFT.com – A new chess non-fungible token (NFT) ecosystem.

The full market function is scheduled for later this month to coincide with the upcoming World Championships in Dubai. ChessNFT hopes to welcome new people to join the blockchain world and attract chess players and chess enthusiasts.

Users will be able to bid and purchase chess-related NFTs with iconic game moments, unique collections, chess-related art, and more. The interface of the platform will adapt to the use of fiat currency and cryptocurrency.

The most interesting thing is that these NFTs will adopt the new TrueNFT format on the Everscale network. Everscale is the new name of the recently renamed FreeTON network. TrueNFT brings many benefits over the existing format, although the title function is definitely to store actual media files on the blockchain itself.

FIDE’s decision to partner with Everscale Network is a great coup for blockchain and recognizes its potential for large-scale processing of global transactions. This is achieved through the multi-threading function of the network, which supports multiple work chains, which can be dynamically expanded to meet user needs.

Arkady DvorkovicThe FIDE Chairman concluded, “The FIDE has embarked on an exciting and ambitious digital journey, bringing new experiences and opportunities to chess enthusiasts around the world. We are very pleased to take the first step in a comprehensive NFT market, just in time for this year. The World Championship in Dubai in November.”

This is not the first time chess has flirted with the NFT world, just like Magnus Carlsen last month Won the NFT trophy In the Meltwater Champions Chess Tournament. A replica trophy was also auctioned, and the winner had a chance to compete with Carlson.
