Defending UFC heavyweight champion Francis Nagano announced that the mixed martial arts fighter has partnered with payment company Cash App and plans to spend half of his UFC 270 wallet in Bitcoin. Ngannou told his 620,100 Twitter followers that he believes “Bitcoin can empower people around the world.”

That’s according to a Tuesday tweet by Ngannou, who plans to dedicate half of his UFC 270 wallet to bitcoin.In addition, the UFC fighter also stated that he believes Bitcoin empowers people when he statement:
I believe Bitcoin can empower people around the world.So I am very happy to be a partner [with] Cash App can take half the bitcoins in my UFC 270 wallet.
Ngannou gives away $300,000 in Bitcoin to lucky fans
Besides getting paid for half of his wallet bitcoin, Ngannou said he plans to give away $300,000 worth of bitcoin to those who ditch the Cash App name tag and use the hashtag “#paidinbitcoin.”The tweet managed to get #paidinbitcoin hashtag Trending on Twitter in the US. Similar to Ngannou, mixed martial arts (MMA) entertainment company UFC is also involved in blockchain technology and cryptocurrency solutions.
