In just one year, the EOS system has proven itself to be a next-generation blockchain project with industry-leading scalability and transaction speed. Its ideas and solutions open up new opportunities for blockchain developers.
Many dApps – key parts of the system – are now built on EOS. This number has grown over time; according to DappRadar, 18% of dApps are built on EOS, but there are still barriers to implementation. To run on the EOS blockchain, dApp developers need RAM resources that are not cheap. According to bloks.io, as of June 13, 2019, it is over 108 EOS ($694)/1 MB.
RAM usage is also limited by supply, currently around 90GB. It’s expected to increase to 128GB this December, but that still severely limits developers’ ability to perfect “killer apps” that appeal to mainstream audiences.

The team is introducing standard APIs, but they also offer custom APIs, such as the DSP API.
Finally, it’s exciting to see projects like this offer great solutions to the benefits of decentralized development that were previously unimaginable. A solution of this scale will be able to pave the way for a new level of incredible dApps that push the limits and become a key part of mass adoption.
