Captain Dunith Wellalage led Sri Lanka from the front to a 65-point win over South Africa to advance to the fifth-place play-offs of the ICC U-19 Men’s World Cup.

Uganda wins 13th place in rain-affected race
In the other game, Uganda did not let the rain dampen their morale as they beat Scotland by 51 points in a shortened match to finish 13th. The 13th-place playoff between Uganda and Scotland was delayed at Diego Martin as rain prevented both sides from playing for more than an hour, with the game initially reduced to 45 points for both sides.
Batting first, Ronald Lutaya scored the most for Uganda with 64, adding 75 for the third wicket with captain Pascal Mulenghi.
Both were eventually fired by Jamie Cairns, and two of the left-arm spinner’s four were caught and bowled, en route to the tournament’s best bowling figure with six of 24.
