The Belgian Football Association said on Tuesday that Belgian midfielder Yuri Tillermans was excluded from the national team’s upcoming World Cup qualifiers due to injury.
Federation spokesman Stefan Van Rock stated that Leicester City players will be absent from the Group E game against Estonia in Wales later this week and on November 16.
Belgium will be eligible for next year’s World Cup, defeating Estonia, or if Wales fails to beat Belarus on Saturday.
The Belgian Football Association did not specify the nature of Tillermans’ injury. He was injured when he drew 1-1 with Leeds in the Premier League against Leicester City last weekend. Leicester City coach Brendan Rogers said after the game that Tillermans had a sore calf.
