SLC: Sri Lankan cricket players now need three months’ notice before retirement


According to the new rules set by the board of directors after Friday’s executive committee meeting, cricketers who have retired from the Sri Lanka national team must now issue a three-month notice to the Sri Lanka cricket team stating their decision to retire.

Retired people also need to wait six months after retirement to obtain the SLC certificate of no objection before they can participate in the foreign T20 league. For those who want to participate in the Lanka Premier League, “80%” of the domestic competition is now Mandatory.
