India opener Rohit Sharma and captain Virat Kohli maintained their fifth and ninth positions respectively in the ICC Test rankings released on Wednesday.
Australia’s Marnus Labuschangne leads the Test with 924 points, while England captains Joe Root (881) and Steve Smith (871) are second and third respectively. New Zealand captain Kane Williamson (862) is fourth. Mayank Agarwal dropped one rung and is the second Indian in 13th place.
Among Indian bowlers, out-turner R. Ashwin managed to retain his second place with 861 runs.

There are no other Indian features in the top 10 of the Test bowlers list. The Test bowlers ranking was led by Australia captain Pat Cummins, followed by Ashwin and New Zealand’s Kyle Jamison, who moved up six places.
Ashwin also maintained his second place in the Test all-rounder ranking. West Indies’ Jason Holder is the all-around first.
