Naomi Osaka’s latest tennis star speaks out about Peng Shuai’s disappearance

Chinese tennis star Since the 35-year-old Peng Shuai released the sexual assault allegations against Zhang Gaoli, the former deputy prime minister of China, no one has seen or heard of him. She wrote online on November 2 that the 75-year-old man forced her to have sex. The post was quickly taken down by the country’s Internet censors.

Since her position, more and more athletes have expressed their concerns about Peng’s safety because there is no news of her.

Japanese tennis star Naomi Osaka is the latest to speak up. She went to Twitter to comment on the review of the post and Peng’s disappearance.

Osaka wrote:

“No matter what the cost, censorship will never work. I hope Peng Shuai and her family are safe. I am shocked by the current situation. I am sending love to her and illuminating her way.”

Other people in the tennis world have also expressed their views on this situation. Including WTA.

Tennis legend Billie Jean King wrote: “I hope Peng Shuai is safe and sound and will conduct a full investigation of her allegations.”

Novak Djokovic said that this situation shocked him.

Chris Evert wrote on Twitter: “I have known Peng since I was 14; we should all be worried; this is serious; where is she? Is she safe? Any information would be greatly appreciated.”
