Justin Lange has resigned as coach of the Australian men’s cricket team, his management company said on Saturday.
“DSEG confirms that our client Justin Lange has resigned as coach of the Australian men’s cricket team this morning,” the Dynamic Sports & Entertainment Group tweeted.
“The resignation was made following a meeting with Cricket Australia last night. The resignation is effective immediately.”
After a long meeting on Friday, Langer’s future appeared to be fraught with uncertainty.
He took over the role following the tampering ball scandal in South Africa in 2018. His contract expires this year.
