The highly anticipated rematch at 154 pounds is on ice. WBC, WBA and IBF junior middleweight champion Jermell Charlo was set to take on WBO champ Brian Castaño on March 19, but Castaño was forced to withdraw from the bout after suffering a partially torn right bicep in training camp, according to multiple reports.

The injury is expected to sideline Castaño for the next four weeks.

The two were scheduled to meet in Los Angeles after battling to a draw in their first matchup last July that produced some questionable scorecards. Castaño was awarded one card 114-113 while another scored it even, 114-114, but the third judge produced an 117-111 card for Charlo.

Charlo, already frustrated by the delay, vented his anger on social media.

“[Two times] in a row they done tried to pull the same stunt,” Charlo wrote in an Instagram story post. “Naw I ain’t buying it.”

It’s unclear as to when the pair and be rescheduled given the mandatory challengers awaiting both men.
