Killer Kross, former WWE and NXT’s Karrison Kross, believes he can bring something new to All Elite Wrestling. The former NXT Champion recently completed his 90-day non-compete clause with WWE and is free to sign with other promotions.
AEW president Tony Khan said he will be more selective about signings in 2022 after acquiring CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, Christian Cage and Malakai Black. Kroos was one of the hottest free agents in pro wrestling in 2019 when he chose to sign with WWE rather than AEW. Once again a free agent, Kross still sees a fantastic opportunity for himself in AEW.
“For me, it feels as good before I signed with WWE as it is now because I’m always looking to integrate and create things that don’t exist on the show,” Cross told CBS Sports. “I’m not saying that in a derogatory way. I’m just saying, the typical way I approach things is: I look at what’s in the show, I look at how everyone brings ideas and concepts into the show, and I’ll say, ‘What I can do that no one else is doing.
“I think this is the best way to improve the show. Everyone who is a part of the show should try to contribute to improving the show as a whole from their own perspective. So, there are things that haven’t been done, or haven’t been done at all, or I Think not doing what I can. In that regard, it looks very good to me.”

Kroos experienced the best and brightest of NXT before his WWE main line debut. In a deadly five-man showdown in NXT TakeOver: In Your House, he defeated Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, Johnny Gargano and Pete Dunn. Kerr tore Kroos before the game. Cole believes Kross is a normal person without a well-crafted entry and collaboration with Scarlett Bordeaux. Given the poor performance of Kroos’ main lineup after being stripped of those elements, some fans viewed Kerr’s publicity as a kind of prophecy. Others will place the blame on WWE’s main roster creative direction.
“It could be counterproductive that I don’t address this sooner, but I think there are things that need to be protected. I’ll probably never raise this question unless you ask,” Cross said. “The night before we received the script. Everything he said and everything I said was entrusted to us by the writing team. He was a total professional and it was great to work with, we really just showed up And done our job like any other day we’ve been. He’s been the fourth wall propagandist. They thought that would be the best way to get him into a lethal five-man game, and that’s how we got in. “The way it was explained to me was, they wanted me to be in the lineup and everyone was clean. Time couldn’t afford it, so they thought ‘How can we get the best player in NXT in a game where Kross can go over there? Kill these people? In this industry, you can’t just have people running around in promotions and tagging contests all month and then clean them up on pay-per-view. They Nothing. So, I think the idea behind this is to let them get their licks before pay-per-view and then they get smashed and beat. That’s basically the idea behind it. Cole needs to look strong in promos , they’re playing the fourth wall thing, which is basically that.”
Kross also talks about his new plans with WWE veteran Adam Scherr and EC3 free narrative vehicle. narrative Gritty, cinematic wrestling matches and events are produced and incorporated into a wider storyline featuring participants.
“On this issue, people are narrative: I’m a big believer that professional wrestling and sports entertainment are very different, and to enjoy those things, it’s coming from a very subjective place,” Cross said. “It contains a lot of different things. I know some people just like their pro wrestling to be sports-based and that’s it; however, it’s 2022 and there are thousands of shows made by big companies and people who have been in the industry for 30, 40 years discussing behind the scenes story. I think we’ve long stopped trying to mislead people about what we’re doing. That’s not to say we shouldn’t protect some aspects of what we’re doing so you can continue to enjoy it. Magicians don’t just explain to you how they do all their magic, but when you watch it, you do get a general idea of what you’re getting into.
“I think control your narrative This will continue to be a refreshing concept for anyone who truly enjoys professional wrestling. You’ll be able to see things in it that you wouldn’t be able to see in other formats dictated by third parties, sponsorships and endorsements, and specific TV mode programming. It’s an alternative, and once people have had enough of something, they’re always looking for alternatives. I especially hope that contributing to it will be another layer. I’m not interested in just being involved. As with anything I’m involved in, I want to add a new layer. Without destroying new ideas, we’ll take things to another level. ”
